It rained all the way down the M5 as we took the short journey for this pre season friendly .

Luckily as we got off the coach it started to clear up and turned out to be a good afternoon.

It was a slow start as both teams got to know each other, but Bridgwater were first onto the score board, a driving lineout 10 metres out resulting in a try in the left hand corner.

5 - 7 (17 mins)

Following a period where the play went back and forth in the middle of the park, the Crows had a lineout on the Bridgwater 5 metre line.

Taken cleanly in the lineout by Jacob Kinnear, the Crows set up the drive with Joe Challingsworth popping out to dive over for the Crows first try.

Bridgwater have a scrum 10 metres out, a drive then breakaway to score and take the lead.

Another driving lineout from the Crows on the Bridgwater 5 metre line.

Evan Ash diving through to get the ball down on the line to score the Crows second try.and end the first half level.

Bridgwater quick out of the blocks in the second half, set up a maul and roll towards the right hand corner, going over for their third try.

Crows attack from a driving lineout to go over only for the referee to call held up.

Bridgwater kick out and the ball is caught by Conal Jones around half way, brought forward then pass to Charlie Hawker, Charlie paases on the Harry Jarvis who steps to players and battles over the line to score in right corner.

22 - 17 (73 mins)

Bridgwater score again from another driving lineout to take the lead.

The Crows spend the last five minutes trying to get a score but Bridgwater defend well and put up a couple of attacks of their own.

Bridgwater and Albion RFC were great opposition for the Crows as they prepare for their first league game on 02nd September 2023.

Either team could have won the game with the score to-ing and fro-ing throughout, with Bridgwater and Albion RFC the victors at the final whistle.
