The game started even as both sides tested each other out.

Cirencester where quick to respond, on 27 minutes they kicked a penalty to the Cwmbran five metre and from the lineout managed to drive over for a try. 5 - 14.

Cwmbran continued to pressurise the Cirencester defence, their patience paying dividends just before half time, Cirencester kicking out from their own touchline again failing to find touch, similar to the previous try, this time Cam Stewart charged forward, stepping through a couple of week tackles to score, converted by Nye Evans 5 - 19.

There were some big performances out on the pitch today with the guys who have just stepped up from youth all showing that they have a place in this team, Rob Davies passing on his experience in the back line, and it was also great to see Lewis Hopkins back on the pitch.

A big thank you to Cirencester RFC for hosting us, we look forward to you coming down to us for a return fixture, and again, another big thank you to all the travelling supporters who travelled nearly two hours and out up with the rain, great to see you all there.
