Cwmbran were slow out of the blocks and gave the opposition a nineteen point lead before getting into the game, when you get that far behind your own game plan goes out the window and it becomes a fight for survival.
That being said, after the initial onslaught, they pulled their socks up and competed man for man against a very fit and well drilled Abercarn. I think the fact that Abercarn kicked their two penalties to ensure they could gain points to keep ahead was a sign of respect for our young and talented squad.
Todays game was sponsored by our Centurions, they gave praise to the team for their performance, picking out both James Skellett and Aneurin Evans for their performances, but it was David Powell who got the well deserved man of the match award.
Thank You to everyone who came to watch and give their support.
